We dont have one and probably should get us one for the Casita incase we do stay someplace with hookups.Any good thoughts on which one or what kind we would need? I only read about one somewhere and it said 30amp,was wondering if that would work for the 15amp on the campers

Surge protectors
Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C hardwired or EMS-PT30C portable.
Also, it is user serviceable. If it craps out, they will ship you the part and you fix it right there.

I just remembered, the hardwired unit is user serviceable, the portable unit is not.

A very many people would not be comfortable replacing parts on the EMS.. the parts are not exactly plug and play and some knowledge and experience with AC circuits and wiring would be preferred. Do an Google Image search for "EMS-HW30C inside" to see what I mean.
But with any of their units, their customer service is very good and I think they will treat you right if you have a problem.
We have the protector that plugs into the service port at full service campgrounds. I think dirty power ruined our power converter. We now have the device that monitors power and protects the electrical in the Scamp.
