Baskets for Clothing

After a recent trip to the Container Store, we purchased two steel vinyl wrapped baskets with roller track bases. I mounted them under the the full time bed, as the zippered bags we once used. We can easily load a weeks clothing in the roll out baskets and no longer dig through zippered bags for our clothing.

Basket stop

Doug

You can get a piece of 1x2 oak board and stand it on edge in the lower angle corners of the dinette benches and counter and it will keep the baskets on the upper level. If you cut both ends at about 30 deg angle it makes it easy to remove. The angles go like this on each end of the board.  ( /      /)  As shown lift up on the right end and the board. You may want to play with a scrap 1X2 to get the length right.

Good Idea

Good idea Eddie, was thinking about bungee cord, but the boards may be a better idea.

Well,it sounded like a good

Well,it sounded like a good idea, but the boards that support the rear bed will not allow the tension of the angled boards. It will simply raise the boards. We have a bungee cord idea to hold them back, but they also lock sort of when pushed back onto the tracks.

LOL! Yeah, she gets her basket, I get mine! On longer trips we shall keep clothing also in the tow vehicle.

You have to share when camping Greg

Now the rules are{at least in this house}that in the trailer we both have to do with a certain amount of space divided up equally.Same rules do not apply when at home tho

Well, for home, I shall not

Well, for home, I shall not ask or imagine who gets more space. We have a walk in closet in the master bed room and I can tell you for sure, I get my ample 30% of that!

Well, I had a hard board cut

Well, I had a hard board cut to size and now install it in front of the baskets, and locks in between the fiberglass edges and locks in place. Now the baskets no longer slide out when in transit. Will post a pic soon.

Baskets

What about just buying one of those spring loaded curtain rods to expand between the seats to act as a stop for the baskets ? That's what I did and it works fine . ...$4 and problem solved
