Trip to Backus was great

We picked up the 13 Deluxe on Jan 2nd. Everything went as planned. The night before we stayed in Baxter at The Woods. Nice inexpensive clean motel. Friday fish was great at the restaurant.

The week before I purchased it I asked for the hose tube to be removed and it wasn't. I called Micah (best guy to work with) and he said they'll do it and repair the holes for $150. I will take a drive up in spring. This is good because I took the door hinges off to buff and polish them and the fiberglass under the hinge is cracked where they drilled the holes for the attaching bolts. I never would have seen it if I didn't remove the hinges. I'll get the fixed also so it doesn't migrate.

This is our 3rd. Scamp ...now its time to plan a Grand Canyon trip.

Backus and Back

bcsnave,

'Glad you had a good trip.  I would be hard for me to have a critical eye in -25 weather.  Lilly and I will be in Backus to pick up our 13 in April.  We will pack for winter and hope for spring.  From Backus, we will drive to Minot.  If needed, we can swing by Backus on the way home.

I have been to the Scamp

I have been to the Scamp factory and it was sure a pleasant experience. As stated in previous posts, I had much done. As a going away present, they gave me a huge bag of assorted rivets and caps. I think that would be a nice thing to get while up there. I will say this, the guys up there that make mods and additions to Scamps are top notch. They informed me that they can put anything on a Scamp that one did not order at production.
