Does anyone know of a source of material that could be put on the front of a Scamp below the window to prevent stone chips. I have seen a covering that they put on new cars to prevent scratches during transit. I assume they peal it off after it gets to the dealer.
Has any one made a metal gaurd that coud be attached to the front?
They make a Carbon Fiber, Vinyl Wrap for Cars and Trucks. This stuff can be stretched and/or heat treated to conform to the curves of your Scamp. It comes in various sizes, colors and patterns. The descriptions state that the product protects your paint from stone chips so it should work on the Scamp.
It is available from PepBoys.com or Amazon.com.

I have seen several molded fiberglass trailers that have Rhino Liner applied to protect the paint from rocks.

I have also seen polished aluminum diamond plate used as a rock guard to protect the paint.
