It was rather sad watching our beloved Scamp pull away from our house on Friday, going to another state to its new home. But we were ok with it,knowing in about 10 weeks we will be going to pickup our new 16ft...Then it dawned on us,we couldnt go camping for the next 10 weeks!! guess we hadnt thought of that till now....I have a feeling time is just going to start dragging by for us,for one time in our lives we wish there was some work or whatever to be done around the house, but no,there isnt,so will have to find something else to keep us busy

Time drags by
It will be a long 10 weeks, but you risk a longer time to sell in the fall once the 'season' is coming to an end and prices start to drop. So there is a sliver lining!! Can't wait to see the new rig!

Thank you Deb,it was a quick sale, listed on Friday evening and she basically bought it on Tuesday...Thats exactly what we were thinking when we listed, about not knowing how long it would sit before selling...wish we had more of them, hundreds of calls and emails. The new Casita we ordered ,we have not seen one in person:-) Im sure we will be as happy with it as we were with the Scamp, they are about the same

If the Patriot that we looked at 10 days ago was a typical Casita, you will truly be happy campers. The time will pass, it's kind of like waiting for the delivery of a new family member.

Yes time will fly hopefully ,but till then we are thinking of just taking off in the car and running over to the coast of Califonia for a trip up and down the coast a couple of days.Best of luck on picking out just the right Scamp for yourselfs

Nice profile photo! And, too bad you live so far away because we would be thrilled to share the work we have to do on our house/yard. I know it could probably keep 10 people busy for 10 weeks! Could not resist saying that.
We had our pop-up out a couple of weeks ago in Council Grove, KS, the Corp of Engineer Park. It was SO nice as my husband's weekend is during the week and the park was almost empty. Now, the weather here is heating back up. We are really early spring and fall campers because of the heat. I don't want to just go out and sit inside the camper with the A/C on. I did realize though how much a shower in the camper would mean to us. The showers that they have are nice but............. We were lucky it didn't rain this time.
I am happy that you have the Casita coming. Just get out the atlas and study it for your future trips!

We are thinking of being close to your area in Sept maybe, for the state fair in Hutch, but we dont go farther east then Wichita,oh you know,we'd love to work on your house :-) There just wouldnt be time ha...We have our book of camping with the COE now and see that they are many of those around,we may meet up one day in those, once we have a trailer again.Since we are retired we also like going somewhere in the middle of the week,so I understand what you are saying...a little more peaceful sometimes when you want it

Did you get the shower/potty option on your Casita?

Oh yes of course Doug.We couldnt do without those lol....Also had em in the Scamp but never showered in it,the gal that bought it texted me the other day and she said it worked great, she has used it...We wll probably be using the one in the Casita since the water heater is gas or electric

Great! We use the heck out of our shower/potty. Our thoughts are that the trailer starts there! Anxious to see pictures.
