New Fridge and custom front panel

I had the old (poorly functioning) ice box removed and replaced with a new Dometic RM2193 last week. No more lukewarm meat and dairy :) Used a bit of scrap Bamboo flooring to make a custom front panel. Beveled the side and top edges to fit under the trim ledge. Bottom is held in place with the included lower trim molding

Thanks Doug!! I'm happy to

Thanks Doug!! I'm happy to report I made it thru my winter punch list this weekend! She's clean. Reloaded and ready to hit the road. Unfortunately, that is a bit too far. Hopefully another time. I think I'm gonna try to hit the N Cali event in May. Much closer to home ;)

Yes, forgot you live out west

Yes, forgot you live out west, which is where I wish I lived! Just a great job on the fridge. Was it hard to wire it in? Looks just fantastic kid!

fridge install

well, it was really easy...I just dropped it off at Camping world at 8am and picked it up at 5pm :)

Seriously though, had it been a fridge to fridge swap, I would have done it myself. But since it was an ice box to fridge install it was far more complicated, with an enclosure on the inside needing to be built, new gas and electrical lines run, and my beloved egg being cracked to install the exterior access and vent panels, I opted to have a professional do it for me....and have the peace of mind that if it was wrong (or leaky) they would make it right.

My next MOD project

Nice job, thanks for the wood idea, I think I will just go electric if I find the right fridge to fit and install it myself.

Another interesting "panel"

Another interesting "panel" for the refrigerator is to have a poster printed on one of your favorite photos.  I had a laminated photo from one of my visits to "House on Fire" Ruin in Mule Valley, UT printed by PosterBrain, and added it to the refrigerator in my Escape.

Love the Bamboo

Excellent job Deb!  I'll have to see if I can find the fridge panel I did in our original Scamp 13 when the kids were toddlers. Did the spray on chalkboard and they would sit in front of the fridge and do their thing with a bucket of chalk.
