If you look in my fist post before installing the SS machine screw, I placed the plastic cover cap retainer on the screw. It is made so you can snap the white cover cap on and doubles as a washer. They are both in one of the pictures along with a tub of plumber's puddy that I then spread on the threads before inserting it the hole. This will prevent water from finding it's way in.
