I ordered my 2022 Scamp 13 with the bathroom, except I had them replace the standard toilet with the newly offered Laveo dry flush toilet. I didn't think my stomach and nose could deal with dumping a black water tank. I have only used it one season and it fulfilled my needs. I only used it when other restroom facilities were not available, since the bag cartridges are kind of pricey.
We ordered our 2006 16' new with front bunks and side bath "room only." We're still perfectly happy with it that way. Use it mostly at night and it's good for at least four days with the two of us. We have no water heater or holding tanks. Simple is good.
We have a 13' Scamp, but before it we had a motor home. I replaced the commode in the RV with a compost toilet. One of the best if not best changes I made. It used a bucket inside with a crank to stir the solids and the saw dust, coco coir, or peak moss. I hated black tanks too, the compost toilet was much better. Our Scamp doesn't have a bath. Just got it, a 2013, last June. We have a small porta potti. Also use other items mostly. Like the facilities where we're camped. Also have various cantainers for pee. For me, it's easy, but the wife is more picky. She has those made for ladies cups and containers. For #2, I'm fine to used a plastic bucket with a seat, bags with coconut shells ground up, coco coir, or with peat moss or saw dust. Lots of options. Anything better than the black tanks.
