I was towing my scamp with a u-haul and I handn't realized I forgot the cotter pin to lock the hitch. Luckily, it was at night and no one was behind me, but the truck bucked from a bump on the road and the trailer popped off, but it dragged on the ground damaging the trailer jack like this: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ohAf4HewyUNPrxLG6.
Looking for advice on how to fix this. Can I just order a new jack from Scamp and install it myself? I'm currently at my new house and it was late at night and didn't examine the under side that well. Does it just screw on or is there some welding or something more complicated involved on the under side?
Common jack at many places, Harbor freight seems to be down tonight, Amazon has them or your local ACE. Or this could be the time to change to electric. I like one with a removable foot plate / wheel. https://www.acehardware.com/departments/automotive-rv-and-marine/towing-...
Awesome. Thank you!
