I'm a new Scamp owner, recently bought a 2013 13' w/o a bath. I only have one propane tank and the one battery on the tongue with the regular manual crank hitch. I'm thinking of adding a second tank, maybe a second battery. I'd like to do some boon docking when in longer trip, not using rv parks every night along our drive. Maybe a Walmart or Cracker Barrel along the way. Maybe a Harvest Host as well. I'd like to put all those on the necessary platform, covered by a hard plastic or fiberglass box.

Suggestions wanted about adding a front cover/box.
I guess a metal, probably aluminum is best because of weight factor, would be okay. I have a inverter generator, a Wen 3800, that I'd like to take on those long trips, or even shirt ones when I know I'll be boon docking. It weighs 100# its self. On second thought it would be hard to left onto a upper level if a add on rack. Ugh. I've even thought about going the solar generator route. For powering everything. I have a small Bluette now, a 700W, but if I go this route I was thinking if a bigger on and plug the trailer into it. Their MAX has a rv 30 amp receptacle. But if I do that I'd still want two propane tanks mounted inside some sort of box.
I know that's a lot if ifs and questions. Any suggestions and ideas on what's out there for a proper box for whither I decide to do? Any of you use a solar power station? What kind do you have and how do you use it? Maybe I should break this into a few topics? LOL I have a rear hitch, which I added with using a Scamp cross member to upgrade stabilizor jacks. Adding all the weight on the front should I add weight on the rear using a cargo carrier or bike rack and bikes?

I"d suggest starting with a check of the GAWR (gross axle weight rating) and then weigh the trailer on a scale with all the usual stuff (including fresh water) in it to see how much capacity is actually left.
Thanks for those suggestions Mr. T. I have never done a traitor weighing before but I know all this is important. I called our local TA that has CAT scales today and will be going there soon to get the weights.
