Our New Scamp

Thanks friend, we so love it. Lots planned for,our future vacations. We started with off road motorcycles, then a airplane, then long term boating. Can you tell, no kids ! Now this new chapter in our life will bring us great times, great memories!

Looks good.  One thing I have

Looks good.  One thing I have noticed about the Scamp is you can really personal it and make it "you" versus institutional seen one, seen them all.  Congratulations and enjoy!

Our new Scamp

Oh yes, my bride is a talented person with a sewing machine ! The curtains are going to become dark blue inside. I am making a step for potty, as my bride is short. We got a cover for the propane tanks, and have shown the vent covers as well. Now with our fun name on the back its OURS.  Next year more things to make it ours,  now we have a big book, bound, with blank pages for us to record our trips, events, and friends !

Define "short" when it comes

Define "short" when it comes to the toilet?  I'm thinking I have heard about this in the past and that myself and my son would probably qualify.  Husband is always "too tall for" everything except getting items for everyone at the store from the top shelf.

Short

The shower is sort of in a pit, and the potty is elevated. So, my 4 ft. 10 bride has a tough time negotiating the hike up to the seat! Is that well enough defined?

Yes, thank you.  My son and I

Yes, thank you.  My son and I are both 5'4" so it might go either way.  We always carry a small step stool and they never seize to be handy.

We built a bath step for ours

We saw plans in the Scamper YAHOO modification forums for a step that could fill in the gap in the front bath. Used a carpet remnant and plywood. Works great for using the toilet, and we carry our fresh water hoses and filter underneath. We do have to move it out of the bathroom when we want to use the shower, so I might try to build another one in the future that is waterproof and can simply be folded out of the way.

Your Scamp looks a lot like ours, even the same Maxxair vent! Just wish we had those windows instead of our sliders.

I think Teak Wood is the choice friend. I may make one out of Teak.
