Hi Everyone,

I"ve been visiting the site for some time and decided to join.  My lovely wife and I have been RV'ing for a number of years and have admired the Scamp style campers.  Our elderly neighbor had a Scamp 19 std and I told the wife if he decided to sell, we should pursue the unit.  Long story short, last Sept. I ran into the neighbor, asked if he was interested in a sale of his Scamp.  We now own a 19 Standard in our shed!  He had not used it for a number of years and had sat partially covered in his old loafing shed.  We pulled it home with our tractor and the fun began late November!

It has been a work in progress with a couple of surprises along the way! Cleaned, inspection, and started a list of everything that needed attention.  Wow! Our list kept growing as we dove into the Scamp!  Seemed every time I took one thing apart, it added two additional items to my list!  Overall it has been a fun project for me during our winter.

Until next time

Congrats

I'm finishing a 97 Scamp 19 deluxe which should go up for sale May 1.

Found quite the same with one thing leading to another, but it's always fun. Hopefully, you'll get to enjoy it soon and are you going to tow with something besides the tractor? wink

Scamp 19 towing

Yes, tractor would be a too little slow but plenty of power even as I slow down.  Still scratching my head on towing Scamp.  I have a 2000 F250 4x4 with gooseneck ball and 5th wheel hitch.  Put a three inch lift on Scamp, to help with the height, but that darn 2 inch coupler on the Scamp!  I really don't want to cut the 2" coupler off the Scamp.

This has been a fun project.  My wife asked if I would do another one.  I would take on another one and bring it back to life and see it on the road!
