Greetings,
Wife and I are investigating purchasing a new Scamp 13. Neither of us have ever owned a camping trailer or tent although i was brought up with camping as a primary vacation mode. We are excited about prospect of looking about the country in our retirement.
We would like to actually see one before we pull the trigger on it. Is there anyone on here within a hundred miles or so of Greensboro, NC who would let us look at theirs? I am looking at the local rv/camping trailer places but so far have not been able to find one anywhere nearby. That may be due to my poor internet investigative abilities.
Any help greatly appreciated,

Best we can offer is we are south of Chicago if you are in the area. We would try to help. We had the same issue and finally drove to Backus Mn a year and half ago to see them and how they were made. This helped us choose well. many options and decisions. We ended up with a 2019 13 with standard bed and potty/shower up front and electric brakes as the biggies for us.
Good luck

Thanks for the input salukispeed...please tell me how the shower/potty has worked for you. We are debating whether to get that or go for the couch/bunk bed and use a sanipotti...we were concerned about the actual size of the shower....we are both at 5'10' medium build and wondered if it would be too cramped....main reason we wanted to see one...is that a full size bed? How do you like the electric brakes? sidney
Sidney,
My wife and I are both 5'9", we are very pleased to have a Big Bed 13. We use a composting toilet. We had a 19' Scamp in the past with a side bath, we could not stand up in without some serious bending and twisting. So between having a cramped bed and a bath that didn't fit us, we opted for a 13 with a big bed and a front bench. Our Scamp search is over.
Our observation on 13 with a front bath is that when traveling, if you want to stop and take a break, the only place to sit is on the bed.

Thank you Bob H! That is exactly kind of the kind of thing that is useful for us to know. We were already leaning strongly toward the big bed/front bench options and this helped us confirm our intuitions. We continue excited over purchasing a Scamp 13 and taking some tours in our newfound retirement phase. Again, thank you for helping us along. Sidney
