Recently Purchased Scamp Question - Water Pump

I just purchased a 2001 Scamp 13 Standard.  I filled the fresh water tank and turned the water pump on but I'm not getting pressure or water flow.  The pump is making noise but nothing happens.  When I hook up to city water, it works fine.  Should I assume I need a new water pump or is there a way to prime it?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Water pump

Water level is above the pump so it should not need to be primed. Can you see water in the lines? Just open the faucets and turn on the pump and it should work. If needed you can get a rebuild kit for the pump.

Check the filter screen

Check for an inline filter just downstream of the pump itself. If your setup is equipped with one, it may be clogged. The clear filter cap should unscrew and you can rinse off the screen.

Here's a pic of the inline filter on my 2016 Scamp 13' Deluxe; the filter is to the lower left of the pump:

Did you get it working?

What did you find?
