Since I am new to trailering,

Since I am new to trailering, it is definitely easier for me to have the portapotty, and not have more things to worry about. So it is nice to have the options. I can see when I'm older, needs and wants may change. On the other hand, not sure if I want more work with the larger set-up. I guess time will tell!

portapotty

we are 71 - still backpacking - and our needs have actually become less as we have gotten older.  When we had children, a bathroom was nice, but my parents bought their first trailer in 1950 - no bathroom then LOL!!! We find the less we have to worry about the easier it is and that is one reason we bought the 13 - we pull it with our CRV and it pulls like a charm, even here in the Rockies and we can always find a space to fit in!  We have a green elephant for our privacy tent and even have a Zodi shower - we prefer to not use the public bathrooms, especially now, so our set-up works like a charm.  I know that whatever you choose you will be happy, though!

That sounds like a great set

That sounds like a great set-up for you two. Mine is a 13' as well, and for one person, it is totally adequate.

And wonderful that you add backpacking to your outdoor adventures - living in the Colorado Rockies must

provide endless opportunities for you!
