Springs

Agreed.

The screens arrived yesterday, and installed today.  Yes the springs are different end to end.  One end of the spring, is clear of obstruction, the other has a wire across the diameter.  The "free" end of the spring attaches to the screen, pass the end from the inside of the screen and across the outside, in the center of the screen.  Pass the tool provided through the center of the screen, and through the center of the spring, engaging the slot in the end of the tool with the spring wire crossing its diameter.  You can then easily hook this end of the spring around the stainless steel "X" at the intake and exhaust port of the furnace, then remove the tool.  Sorry, I did not take photos, if this makes no sense I'll remove the screens and take some photos.  My bad.

One Paper Wasp Nest - But Not The Fix I Expected

I removed the furnace. It's very easy and I was able to keep every wire attached so to not complicate my issue. I did find one paper wasp next in one vent and removed it. This didn't seem to help so I'm moving on to the T-Stat. I'm going to check the voltage at the T-Stat tonight. I'm running out of possible fixes. I'll keep you posted.

4 wires

I believe The Furnace has four wires and two are power and ground and the other two are to the T-Stat, You can verify the T Stat  operation right at the Plug on the furnace with a volt meter...  Another thought. Do you have the newer digital/electronic T-Stat and If so are the batteries in good shape. They are required for the T-stat to operate the furnace. There is a tiny relay inside that actually operates the furnace and if the Batteries are weak the Stat can not actually call for heat. I can look up the wire colors tonight if needed

Original T-Stat

Thanks Saluki! I'll pull it again this weekend and check that connection. I assume I can test tbe T-Stat itself and determine if it's getting power. I can't imagine this is anything serious (probably something minor but overlooked). It's never been used from what I can see and from the posts I'm reading I may never use the "fire breathing dragon" but, it would be nice to have it working properly. I'll keep you in the loop.

How about turning on the

How about turning on the stove top to make sure the gas is flowing through out the system.

Gas Bleed - Thanks Carl

In deed, I have bleed the gas several times. Understand it doesn't make a sound (dead). I tested for voltage at the T-Stat and at the furnace itself. I removed a small paper wasp nest earlier as well. It simple is not getting any power. The elusive rocker switch on the right side of the unit is switched to "on" as well. The furnace manual mentions a cut off value and seems to illustrate one close to where the gas coupling is to the unit, but I haven't found any sort of value. The manual says it will not function if this value is closed. At this point the only value I've touched is the one on the outside to the main tank. Running out of options, though I'm still convinced it has to be something simple.

fuses

Sorry but thinking back to the basics . do you have at least 12.3-12.5 volts to the power wires to the furnace and you double checked the fuse in the power panel. I believe the red is 12V+ and the Yellow is 12V- and the blue wires are to the thermostat. But please confirm this to be true for yours.

Furnace Fuse Location?

I have not checked any fuses. Is it located with the others by the power inverter / charging unit and breakers? I ask earlier in the tread and no one mentioned the fuse. That would have been the first thing I checked. Can you locate for me. I've check the panel by the breakers.

Fuse locations

No two Scamps are alike, but my 16' is pictured here.(It's best to label the circuits when they are all working.)

Found The Fuse / Fuse Blows

Group,

I found the fuse for the furnace. It was blown.

When I replaced it, it blew again. The wire attached to this circuit (positive) seems a bit loose with a stray piece of copper poking out.. I plan to tighten the connection and clean it up tomorrow. I assume a loose connection could cause the fuse to blow? Any other ideas would be appreciated. Will start with the simple reconnect and tighten. Then if that doesn't work maybe the T-Stat?
