I have a new ‘16 and discovered a very wet carpet under the bed. I dried it all out and went looking for the source. I at first thought it was a leaking plumbing connection in the water tank area under the seat. I opened that area up to look closely and dry it out, and now I can’t see any leaks from the various lines and connections. I now think the water is from a lot of rain fall. Question is how did it get in?
There’s no wetness except on the floors inside the seat area and under the bed. I suspect water coming in around a tail light ? Any experience with a mystery leak that is near the floor with no sign of leaking or dripping from above?
You didn't mention whether or not you were driving in the downpour. We had a very wet rug after splashing through big puddles a few years ago. I sprayed along all the places the frame met the trailer from underneath with some leftover truck bed liner. Problem solved. Wear old clothes.
The rear window, table top mount and the spare tire are ALL good locations to check. Water will run down under the insulation and show up on the floor. MANY FLOORS HAVE BEEN LOST THIS WAY!
But yours is new? More likely to be a fresh water leak. Don't forget to check the fill hose, hard to see or feel, and also hook up to house water and see if that will make it leak. Were you using a regulator?
Please let us know what you find.
I have a wet spot starting at the "seam" between the carpet and the wall fabric at the rear wall. Under the carpet the floor wis wet although the surface of the carpet is not. We had a very heavy rain lat night (for us). Street flooding etc. Scamp was not sitting in water but there were 40 to 50 mph winds during the rain event. Would the wall feel wet where the leak occurred? Not sure how the image will show it but that is the area that feels wet.
thanks,

You may not feel moisture on the “rat fur” (marine headliner) because it is glued to the reflectix insulation (bubble wrap). You are probably getting water intrusion from the threaded rods that the spare tire bolts to. Remove the tire, then the nuts and washers, and use butyl around the threaded rods where they go through the trailer shell. Reinstall all the hardware check for leaks using a garden hose spraying water over those areas. You can also do the same treatment to your tail lights just in case they are adding to the problem. Best of luck with your project.

At that location. Either the rear window seal leaks or you have stopped up window drain holes. Where the bolts for the spare tire that come through the shell they may need to ge sealed. There is a plywood board glassed into the back wall to mount the table to. During assembly there are two screws (with caps) on either side of the spare. These screws are used to hold the board in place while it is glassed in, these sometimes leak. One other place to look is at tail light wiring where it goes through the shell under the benches.
If the water is coming in around or above the rear table wall board you need to make a small cut in the rat fur and drill a hole in the bottom of the board glassed patch to drain any collected water from behind the board patch. Water can collect in the board patch cavity and rot out the table support board,
Eddie
Thanks all
it turns out it was just some spillage while filling/overfilling the tank.
