Almost a new owner - question about subfloor

We are very excited about the 2017 16' Scamp we've committed to buying.  It's in beautiful, like new condition and outfitted just like we would have ordered from the factory.  There was only one little concern we had.  In walking through the camper, there was a strange bumping noise in the floor, as though the subfloor was slightly buckled.  It was as though our body weight was pushing a loose section down against the frame, causing this noise.  It was quite noticeable.  The owners commented that within a year or so of ownership they had the axle replaced under warranty and that the noise seemed to start after they got their camper back.  I looked underneath and didn't really notice anything wrong.  I'm just wondering if anyone here as any thoughts on this.  It's not so bad that we would back out of our purchase but it is something we would want to address next spring once we pull it out of storage.

Answer to floor noise maybe?

Looks like I found the answer to my question from an earlier post about doing an axle lift.  There was a question about the purpose of a tab at midpoint and it was confirmed that it's purpose was to keep the floor from bouncing.  I suspect that maybe my Scamp got a new axle but maybe not a Scamp modified axle and therefore doesn't have the tab that steadies the floor.  I can't verify because it's still 100 miles away but that answer makes sense given the circumstances.

Looking up at the strap in question

Here it is just as I started to cut it. I still have not welded in a filler.

I just put on 4000 miles with out trouble. but mine has a 3.5 inch gap and can not hit.

I'd check to see if they welded the strap, it would be easy to miss.

Axle bracket for floor

I did confirm with the previous owner that the axle was replaced by a local trailer shop, not Scamp, so we're pretty sure it was a generic axle they installed.  I'll reach out to Scamp to ask about any concerns there might be about the missing support.  As it stands, there is just this noise.  Kind of like owning a house with creaky floor boards.

floor bracket

As stated the bracket just supports the floor on the axle. It should be welded to the center of the axle tube. There should be no rubber tubing in the axle center so no issue with a quick weld. If spacer blocks were used to lift the trailer you will have to weld a longer piece on the tab before welding to the axle. No need to not accept the trailer  it is under a $50 fix by a good welder.

Same here

We picked up a new 2019 13 Scamp this spring and started having floor noises  after ending up on a somewhat rutted two track road in Ohio by mistake. ( I let the Garmin do the driving Directions out of lazyness ) . It creaked as you walked across in front of the sink area. and all it was was the same bracket had a weld that needed redoing. I popped under it and re-welded it with no issues All has been back to normal the rest of the year. The weld was marginal but also the scamp is not really an off roading camper
