Hello, Everyone...
My wife and I are brand new Scampers, 2018 13' bathroom model, and we just returned from a 6000 mile and change, trip to Alaska and back. We did the unpaved Denali Highway, and I noticed when we returned that the right and left lower front panels of our beloved Scamp suffered some pitting damage. We haul it with a Subaru Outback, and we're going to install mudflaps on it, but.... what do Scamp owners put on the front of their trailers to protect them from gravel and such? Solid panels? Wraps?| Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
I have 3 of my cars protected with X-Pel clear bra and was considering taking my new scamp to have panels put on where you described the damage. I bit like the area AirStream protects on there newer trailers with spaced panels the product is not cheap but does an awesome job. I am a bit afraid of doing it too soon on the new fiberglass/Gelcoat surface as it has to fully cure and off-gas before it can be covered with the film. The old product by 3-M could yellow over time but the new stuff not so much
