Table and leg problems

Hi All, Just back from a great visit to Mt. Desert, Maine, Acadia NP. Fantastic area, especially if you like lobstah.

The rear tabs on our table no longer reach high enough to hook into the receivers on the back wall.  Bent hinge rod?  I see replacement kits for sale.  Are there better systems appropriate for our 13' Scamp that others like or recommend?

Also we don't like the drop down leg, hard to actuate that sharp edged pull down release.  Leg itself seems weak.  What other table support systems do folks use and like, as an appropriate substitution?  I'm sure it's an old topic ( too lazy to search), so feel free to tell me where to go, so to speak.

Thanks, Lee.

Lagun

A lot of people are going with the Lagun table mounting system. Do a search here or on Fiberglass RV and the Escape Forum to check out the installs.

Leg problem

i bent the leg latch my second time out. I removed the latch and put a Menards magnet under the table.

Leg problem

A magnet!  nice idea.  I thought the leg was aluminum. Magnet attached to the leg?  Does the the leg still lock when in the vertical position, with the catch removed?

Locking leg

Mine only locks up, not down, maybe that was part of the problem.. I did add a rubber foot for better stability.  The leg is steel, short screws and glue hold the magnet to the table top.
