If like our 2019 13 the side closet between the bed and door is the tire/wheel well and the front is just the wooden floor of the scamp. and the front is lined with carpet and the side is rat fur on the outside wall and over the wheel well. ( Does this help)
If I remember correctly, just a fine tooth small saw. Some have suggested painter's tape along the cut line for a neater job but I didn't do that. I ordered a door to fit my new opening and plastic edging from Scamp.
The shelves are made of cabinetry plywood, sanded and finished with polyurethane and iron-on veneer along the front. Shelf spacing, frame support, and hinge mounting is provided by 1 x 2 clear pine. Hardware is from the local home store. Others have made shelf supports with PVC pipe and shelves of masonite. You can find more info in the Modification Forum index.

2019 Scamp 13 standard
Yes! Thank you.
No two are alike, what year and floor plan? Mine is just a flat floor, then the out side world.
2019, 13' no bath, really it's very basic. Wonder why door is so short?
Thank you, Jackie.
Many of us have added a lower door and shelves. We don't need the length to hang formal wear while camping.

Nice! How did you cut the fiberglass? A matabo maybe? Is there a frame inside around the opening? Or a wooden strip behind the Hing attachment area?
Nice job, I so want to do this.

Thank you for the info. Will definitely do this.
