It is a very sad situation, but has happened before in the Molded Fiberglass trailer business. The comments are a must read on the article and help to explain the damage that is behind this situation. Let's pray that these folks are able to recover their money, but not looking promising.
Very sad situation. To me, that amounted to stealing as the company had to know what the final result would be. I just cannot imagine losing $10,000 overnight, poof! I really doubt they will see any money returned on this.
On a bright note though, EggCamper has a "For Sale" now on their webpage, so maybe they'll have a comeback.
I am not sure how much Scamp takes as a down payment, but it didn't seem that high. With Scamp, if someone changes their minds, I'm betting someone waiting in line would be glad to step up and buy the unit, and the same with Casita.
Businesses can come and go pretty quickly these days.
