Hello, I have purchased a 2001 16 ft scamp from an individual. I have a couple of questions and hope this forum can help me. One the awning seems extremely difficult to out and back in with only one person. Is it just me or is this common? The other is my drain pump does not seem to work . I have checked the filter and it’s clean. Any suggestions on how to get it working ?

Shower drain pump And awning
My awning takes several steps but it is not hard. The older awning were set up by one person also.Do you have the old or new? New opens with a crank. Here is a video for the old. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=3&v=d6GmJxiCBDg
Is your pump running but not moving water, or just not running? Mine acted like it lost prime, I filled the shower floor area with water and tried it again and it started to pump. (You can always pull the hose to drain it.)
If you can hear your pump running but it's not moving water it may have a crack. This happened to us while camping when temps were well below freezing overnight. The pump and filter are outside, mounted under the the floor, and can easily freeze up while camping in spring and fall. We had to replace our pump and now we always carry a jug of RV antifreeze and run some into the pump right before bed time. We simply pour a little in the sink and run the pump until the sink is drained.

I can’t hear it running at all. Guess I may need to just replace it . Oh thanks on the tip on the antifreeze, I will definitely keep some around for the freezing temps .
Are you getting electrical power to the pump?

Always check the easy stuff first. Last year, I replaced a porch light fixture before discovering it had an intermittent led bulb.
