Help replace Scamp fresh water tank drain valve

I have a 2004 19ft. scamp, and I need to replace the fresh water tank drain valve.  Every time I try to drain the fresh water tank, It leaks water onto the floor of the tank compartment area.  Can anyone help me please.         Thanks, Mark

Drain Valve

On my 97 I had to take the drain hose off and the tank hold down brackets so tank could be lifted up a bit. Plastic drain valve unscrews from tank with wrench. (Carefully) I took it over to Home Depot and matched it up with one they had and reassembled. They also sell direct replacements at most rv dealers and online.
