The pump that drains the shower pan seems to have slowed to a drip. Last trip it took over 40 minutes to empty the water from the shower. Is this normal? Seems like it used to be MUCH faster! Any suggestions?

slow shower pump
Have you cleaned the filter recently? (right next to the pump.)
Nope...didn't know it had one. Scamp manual didn't say anything about it. We will look tomorrow. Thanks!

There is a screen mounted on the underside, just before the pump. You may find that it is really packed with stuff and you will need good rubber gloves to get a good grip on the cover that holds the screen. The other place is the p-trap at the bottom of the shower, less likely to be the problem, but worth checking out.

I clean my filter every other trip.... if we use the shower. Just lay down in front and you can reach up and uscrew the shower drain filter. Most likely full of scum and hair. Also I like to take baking soda and white vinegar in my sink drain and shower drain, I do this with hot water and after a couple treatments and flushing with hot water my water / drain hoses are clear again. Keep your fresh water tank clean also by washing it out with vinegar and flushing it.
Amazing a little maintenance and you wont have the plugged drains I use to have.

Don't beat yourself up about the drain strainer. I purchased my Scamp as a 2nd owner in 2005. So for the last 13 years, I didn't know it was there, or I'd have done maintenance on it. Then, last week, it stopped up and no pump output. Investigated and remedied the problem. Advice: Don't have your face (with mouth open) directly under it when you loosen the cover. Ha ! Nasty !
