Casita will still make a 13" if you ask and they only make it with a bathroom. If you go to thier web site the 13' will not show up i still like a Scamp over a Casita but they are closer to you and just as good.
Not Trying to sound like a know it all but just been there our Scamp did not fit in our garage ether so we had it made bigger from 7' to 8' someone did the framing but i did the door total $800 and i get to use the Scamp for company when they stay over.
Our old (1974) 13' Scamp will fit under a 7' door, by deflating the tires to ca. 15#. The garage at our apartment is ca. 6'11"; I am thinking about buying 5-lug 10" wheels and tires (ca. $35 each), so we can get it under that door and store it there during the winter. (Some C-Brats have custom-made wheels from wood to do the same.)
W have a 13' without a bathroom. The only time we miss having one is in the middle of the night (we stay at campgrounds with "real" bathrooms, including sinks and showers). A 13' is really tiny if you haven't been in one yet, and you don't have much extra space at all with a bathroom. If tow weight is not much of an issue, consider going up to a 16'. You could have the bath, seating at the dinette, and you would not have to convert the dinette to a bed every night. Consider staying at campgrounds with more amenities, such as bathrooms and a dump station. We also have a big fifth wheel, and even though it has huge gray and black tanks, we take most of our showers at the campground facility. We can run as much hot water as we want and don't have to worry about running out of gray tank capacity. Lots of ways to make camping easier for handicappers, you just have to be able to think through the whole process. Here in Michigan the state campgrounds even have ADA sites, close to the bathrooms. Have fun planning!
I heard weather was coming in the White Mountains. We have property in Lakeside/Pinetop but won't be up there this year.
Tell your husband that any Scamp 13 in any layout will resell without any problems. It is one of the fastest models to resell on the selling site. I've resold two of them with standard configuration and no bath and gotten almost twice what I paid for them years later. With your description of camping it would probably be worth looking at the 16. Not that much more to handle on the towing side, but you gain more room and can have a bath inside where it might be easier for your husband. You can get a bigger fridge as well and wouldn't need to run to a store for ice while camping.
Perhaps one of the easiest things to sell in just about any category is a 13' Scamp! Buyers have to be ready to jump in their car and dash with cash in hand to score one. Too funny you mentioned the 70 mph winds. A friend drove her 2-dr Jeep and 13' Scamp to the Black Hills last year, and ran into wicked weather with 70 mph winds. She was driving INTO it, wheeee! Her Scamp is older, and the weather cover to her A/C blew off in the wind. After the weather calmed down, she had a great inaugural trip in her Scamp. Have fun shopping!
Your friend has way more courage than me, surprised the AC did not blow off. In the area between Phoenix and Tucson, people regularly get caught in huge dust storms when the wind is much lower than today. Thankfully, there is a wee bit of moisture also passing through. We have Haboobs (sp,?) come through in the spring and summer. That is something to see a wall of sand coming at you from horizon to horizon. My husband is from Montana, and thinks he can drive in anything - he would like your friend! He is slowly coming round to the no bathroom idea - only because we have a 110 lbs lab that needs that space. Thank you Rhonda for the encouragement.

Thank you for the ideas, We are senior citizens and husband has heart issues, so must keep
it on the low end of exertion. Primary reason we are looking at 13' trailer, just planning
on leaving it hitched up when we get to the woods. If we have to get ice, can just drive
it still hitched up to the store.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. We do need to see a 13', looking at the layout probably is not enough.
Better half thinks we won't be able to sell NO bathroom model, but I don't agree. After 55 years we have
learned to disagree and not get our dander up. Would make life easier if we could get it in garage... PS - Winds
in Heber/Overgaard area are 70 MPH today, thank goodness we are Not Camping!!!
