Utah in March

Forums:

After trying a couple of times to do an epic Scamp trip to the great Utah national parks and register on the national parks site with endless frustration and disappointment, my wife and I have decided to head out to Utah and do the major parks west-to-east, i.e. Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Arches, and lots of other stuff in between, but not depending on getting rteservations for every night of the trip. We are allowing about a month to get there and back from the east coast (Philadelphia area).

BC to Mexico

Forums:

Taking our first long trip in the 19' Scamp.  We are travelling through US on highway 93 and then through Mexico on 15D.  Leaving Southeast BC on Monday Nov 21.  Any tips or tricks or good camping spots would be appreciated.  Any events on our route or people in Mexico?

thanks

seeking advice on avoiding college spring breakers in northern Florida

Forums:

My wife and I hope to be Scamping from Nashville to Mobile to northern Florida (Panama City-Osceola-St. Augustine), then on to Savannah and Charleston for a few weeks in later winter/early spring. Probably will be in Florida from about March 16th through the 25th or so. Anybody have experience in these areas around that time of year? Never been to Florida yet, and we're not going very far south, but we don't want to have to negotiate large crowds of partying youth this first time. If anyone has suggestions of where to go and where to avoid, they will be much appreciated.

Road Trip Adventure: VA -> MN mid-Sept 2022

Forums:

I need to head to Backus, MN to pick up my new 13' Scamp about mid-Sept 2022. Depart VA (Charlottesville area) on a Monday return the same week on a Saturday.  Looking for a non-smoking traveling companion, share gas expense, share driving. Anyone interested?  I want to avoid Chicago (ugh) so might swing thru St. Louis.  Join me for part or all of the trip.

Seems like the delivery cost by Scamp is pricey (although better than others), so I need to consider other, cheaper ways to get my Scamp.

First Scamp Trip

Forums:

Just a short one.  We stayed overnight at Starved Rock State Park in Illinois.  It was a little over halfway home for us from picking up our new (to us) 2013 13' Scamp in Indiana.  We drove back home to Wisconsin today.  I was pleasantly surprised how well I slept.  Mileage on my V6 Toyota Highlander dropped form 24 MPG towing nothing to 17 MPG towing the scamp.  It was a nice night to camp.
