Had to detach metal strap on axle for lift kit unsure what it realy dose anyway is it to support axle or floor ? Floor seems fine when two people are in it and my way of thinking axle should be ok.
Just working with what I have do not have a welder at this time.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
We found the center metal strap weld cracked at the axle and the floor flexed a little bit and was creaky so I re-welded it and it firmed up the floor and no more squeak . So more likely floor support.

It's for floor support. Very interested if you notice any different handling with the lift on your 13', especially quick maneuvers at highway speeds.
