Leaky Bathroom Window 2011 Scamp 16 – Gutters?

Hello everyone!

I'm a new member, so please excuse me if I'm asking about a previously covered topic.

We have a 2011 Scamp 16 Layout 4 (bathroom) with a crank-out bathroom window that has begun leaking / filling with water inside the window frame.

Our first investigations showed a warped gasket along bottom of the window (see photo before my fix), and I've read about that a little in these forums. I've super-glued the distorted bottom area of the gasket back into something like the original position. That has stopped leaks into the bathroom (for now), but the window assembly itself is still full of water in the bottom trough after a rain or wash.

There is a visible gap outside, all around, between the glass frame and the outer frame. That's how the window is manufactured. However, we'd never had a leak in previous years.

I've read a post about drilling weep holes (sorry, don't have the post) ... and that spooks me.

I've read this https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f55/leaking-windows-2015-scamp-87001...

I've looked into window gutters to divert water: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsEjREGiBj0 or https://www.amazon.ca/Essential-Products-BL01002-Black-Gutter/dp/B009IGEM06

An email to Scamp indicated that they don't sell the gaskets, but to contact Lippert.

Where do you think we should go from here?

Thank you so much for your help ... and for your patience, everyone, with a new poster!

Have you thought about

Have you thought about contacting the manufacturers directly or the store from which you made the purchase? It seems to me that in such a situation, they're obliged to replace the gasket or structure. After all, the deformation occurred by itself and not due to mechanical action.
In general, all modifications of water gutter systems are quite complex in their design. My friend tried to repair the water chute in his house on his own, but as a result, he almost completely broke it. He had to call specialists who fixed everything. We got some good guys who did everything qualitatively. And if he had addressed them earlier, he would not have spent so much time.: D

This is the only window that

This is the only window that does not have the weep slots or holes in it from the manufacturer. I had the same problem with water sitting in the channel until it dried up. I drilled three holes, 1/8 inch diameter after carefully measuring the depth of the channel, so they line up with the bottom of the channel. It was not hard to do and it looks ok. Those holes are a few inches apart along the channel.

Every time I wash the Scamp I try to remember to clean up the channels by pushing a stream of water into the drain slots, until I see clear water flowing out of the other. There is always lot of dust caught in those. Good luck!
