NOAA one I have for home would be a great challenge to program every time we move sites. Current camping one we press to hear weather after we hear thunder, etc and if antenna works, is helpful ( cannot recall brand but it's decent)
I would like a reliable, small, portable weather radio that we don't have to worry about programming and don't have to worry about tornado weather if we don't receive a cue to turn on.
Anyone have a recommendation?
Thank you

I never program a radio, I want to know when it is coming in from other counties.
Pick the strongest station and leave it tuned to that. I do hate the alarm, it is kind of like a squad car running through the wall with the siren on. I keep it wrapped in a towel to mute it.

Thank you! Didn't realize not programming the Midland was an option...woops! Also like the towel idea!
I bought the larger Midland radio in the photo, but there was a mix up when they shipped. They corrected it by letting me keep both! These are basically the same radio with one being larger with a longer battery life on a charge and a dog whistle to aid in search and rescue (that I suspect I won't actually use.) These are nice because they are rechargeable via USB, solar, or crank and they can also use AA batteries if you are in a pinch. I haven't tested it much, but they seem like good choices. They hang out in my sunny window staying charged until needed.
Thank you! Appreciate the link and information too!
