AC on our '06 Scamp 16' quit. It seems finding and repairing a refrigerant leak and then recharging a sealed R22 unit is next to impossible. None of the RV shops around here knew of anyone who would/could do it. The Coleman MiniMach 7200 BTU is no longer available and Scamp now installs the Dometic BriskAir II 13,500 BTU unit. Scamp Parts has the new one available but shipping charges make it very expensive. I saved over $300 buying online. The Dometic is designed for stick built trailers with thicker roofs than Scamp, both to accommodate the mounting bolt length and the screws for the ceiling unit. I solved both problems by using a plywood spacer inside above the ceiling unit. Pictures are (hopefully) attached. My wife and I used a ladder for a ramp and tie down straps from the far side to remove and re-install the roof units.

LEberhardt,
I have a 2013 16' standard with the BriskAir II . After you use it for a while we would like to know your thoughts on it compared to the 7200 BTU you used before. Is it louder? Does it freeze you too much? I ask because it feels like overkill here in Ohio but if I was in the desert I'd probably want the 13000 BTU.
