Water Pump/Show/Sink

So we just bought a new 13ft scamp.  We are having issues with the shower using the 12 gallon water tank.  When connected to city water, the shower/sink pressure is fine.  Any thoughts on work arounds?  Also, does anyone have a bedding solution for a custom bed cushion (on top of the factory cushions)?  Thank you!

There is a company on Amazon that sells custom Scamp matresses.  They're fairly pricey but look nice. https://www.amazon.com/s?me=A3IFXK8L0YRSRP&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Regarding the water pressure

Regarding the water pressure using the fresh water pump:  Suggest inspecting and cleaning the filter screen for the pump.  It's under the right-hand seat in front of the tank, on the suction line to the water pump.  Drain the tank before removing the clear plastic cover that holds a stainless steel fine mesh screen.  The drain pet-cock is nearby at the front of the tank, tilt the trailer nose down to drain it fully.  I've only cleaned mine once in over a year, and it didn't need it, but it's still a possibility.   For reference, our fresh water pump doesn't flow as much as most city water connections.

Side note, there's a similar screen filter for the shower drain pump -- Clean it often.  I clean ours after about 6 showers or 3 days.  It depends on how much dirt gets tracked in.  I added a common screen type of shower drain insert from a hardware store and that keeps a lot of the stuff out of the drain pump filter.

Congrats on the new Scamp!

But it may be applicable here also.Pictured is my first fresh drain, the replacement was opposite. Pump pressure will not match most hookups, but a clean filter will help.

Cleaning the shower drain filter.

The first time I cleaned mine the cover came off hard. I used a curved plier to remove it. I would recommend keeping a cheap strap wrench in the RV. Mine came from a thrift store.

Yes, congratulations on the

Yes, congratulations on the new Scamp! Mr.T is absolutely correct about the screens that protect both the fresh water pump and the shower water transfer pump. I find that hair conditioner clogs it badly. The water pressure will be different between shore water and Scamp pump. The shore water pressure could be too high in some places, so a pressure reducer is highly recommended. Our pressure reducer is adjusted quite low, but that helps reduce water usage! Why not?
