We are thinking about buying a 16ft Scamp trailer. They look good online but we have not seen one for real. Is there anyone near the Twin Cities MN who would let us look over their trailer, layout 6 or similar.

Want to view 16ft Scamp in MN
When first contemplating buying a Scamp, it was going to be a 13. They just looked so cute and appealing. Well, one night sitting with our dear friends, who will buy a trailer some day, said that if wenger under dreadful weather for a day or two while out, the 13 could be rather tight. The 16 then made more sense for room, storage, shower and potty, larger fridge, and just more room! The side dinette we love. We keep the bed made up,all the time, as a permanent bed. We also sit on it with our wedge pillows and watch TV. We have lap trays for snacks and drinks. We just love our 16. My wife now has a winter project...new cushion covers, and curtains. The fabric she chose was perfect!

I have heard people say that if you call the Scamp factory that they can give you a referral in the area so that you can see a unit so you might try that.
Since you are so close to the factory, there should be some in your area. I have talked with one of the people at Scamp and they are very nice and easy going, not hard sell or pushy but just seem happy to visit with you about the product and happy you are considering a Scamp.

Even though I ended up buying a used 19D two years ago, they treated me very nicely and gave us a great factory tour on our way across Minnesota. Wayne will surely find somebody who is willing to show you their Scamp.

I guess the 19 D is a 5th wheel model? Love to see pics posted. Would love to,have a 5th wheel model, but no truck. We shall stick with our 16ft. Model.

The 19 D (deluxe, meaning wood cabinets) is a 5th wheel. They look wonderful on the internet but I haven't seen one in person. I think at one time that someone told me that the Scamp factory manufacturers about 400 units a year and when you spread them across the US, that is pretty sparse.

There'll be a Scamp gathering at Kathio State Park by Mille Lacs Lake the first weekend of May. That'll be a good time to check out different styles. Go to the Gatherings site for details.

It's in central Minnesota, SW side of Mille Lacs Lake. If you look at a MN map, Mille Lacs Lake is the big blue blob right in the middle. Lovely park in the woods and early May is mosquito-free. You all come, you betcha!
