Top Bunk

My Scamp has something the previous owner rigged up to keep a child from rolling off the top.  Problem is, it doesn't work.  Just wondering if anyone has anything they've used for this purpose.  Thanks!!

Top Bunk Rail

I did this back on our 81 13 for our daughter who was about 3 yr old at the time and was on the top bunk. I didn't find any pictures I ever took of it so will try and describe it.

I built it in about 20 minutes out of PVC pipe and elbows, etc. 3/4" pvc pipe, two 90 degree elbows, and a straight through adaptor on each side. Took the bunk pipe to Home Depot to fit the straight through adaptors that would go over the top of the bunk pipe, then cut the side pipes approx 8" on each side, glued a 90 degree elbow to each side pipe and then cut a length of pipe to connect the two side pieces. When the bunk was stored this slid right in behind the back cushion for storage and when you put the bunk up the railing simply slipped over the top of each bunk pipe and done. Cost was probably $10.

She never fell out in 5 years....
