We are getting the optional step for our 16' deluxe. I have seen where some have purchased or built a step support. Could someone tell me the distance from the bottom of the step to the ground. I know it can vary based on the ground surface and conditions, but the in the 'showroom' distance is what I am seeking.

6 3/4" to the underside of the step when deployed. (Ours winters under a carport with concrete pad so it sits very level.)

I bought a used S-16 DLX without a step. After the first trip I ordered and welded on a step. The 16's are much higher than the 13's due to 45 deg. axle angle difference. The S-13 does not really need a step.
