Side Dinette Vs. Front Dinette As A Bed For An Ad

I am wanting a dinette that coverts to a bed for an adult, 5'4" 145 lbs.  I have read the sizes and think they will work but it seems the front area would give someone their own "nook" (this would be for my son IF he comes along)  but the side bed looks more desirable, bigger but I don't think it really is.  Any input would be appreciated.

There is something "cute" about the Scamps that others don't capture.  I watched a video of the rally in Banden and saw the interiors.  I am not a fan of "carpet" and the Scamp fabric looked more desirable than the carpet in the Casitas.  I would go smooth walls if not for the undesirability of some of the features and/or price of those units.

I am actually flexible but I am very frugal with my money, not a miser/cheap, just like my Grandpa was so it is genetic.  In my life time, many times I have looked up at the heavens and said "Thank you Grandpa!"  I also believe in "if it is meant to be"..................

I find the side dinette bed

I find the side dinette bed very comfy.  I am 6` tall and my feet do not hit the bottom, it is plenty wide for me b/c i am on the thin side. I do not how it works for someone as tall as i but more wider.  If you can fall asleep on a sofa, this will work.  Carl.

Thanks, Carl!

Thanks, Carl.  I have seen several photos where the side dinette bed was made up into a bed so I suspected a lot of people were using it as a bed.  I was sort of thinking that the trailer seems more "open" with the side dinette and front bath too.  I will have to admit that I have some issue with "tight" spaces but if I can see out a window, I am fine.

Front Dinette

Cathy,

We need someone with a 13 Deluxe with a front dinette to chime in.  I got to pet a 13 deluxe with a front dinette at the factory,  It was very impressive.

The back of the left front dinette bench does not go completely back to the left wall.  The back of the right bench terminates at the right wall.  I think you would be hard pressed to have a bed length of 5'10".  Hopefully a front dinette owner can give us that info.

The 13' Deluxe Can Have Front Dinette

It's the 13' Deluxe that can have the front dinette.  http://shop.scamptrailers.com/showroom/13-deluxe-trailers.html#!Scamp_13...  The same option is available with the 16' Deluxe.  It is kind of interesting why the standard doesn't have that option but just as the sofa/bunk.

16DX Front Dinette

I have a 16DX with front dinette. You would be hard pressed to get any sleep up front if you are over 5' tall. The PO took out the wall and installed a bunk up front. Before I picked up the trailer he reinstalled the wall.I say wall because when you put something in the cabinet doors it drops down to the seat surface behind the wall. My plan is to put a floor in the cabinet just below the cabinet doors and cut and put a hinge on the lower panel so you can open it up and extend your feet to the wall for sleeping. Below the front cabinet doors currently is just a deep dark hole
