I'm debating over which floor plan to choose--with or without shower. Does anyone have experience with the Scamp showers (13') and have an opinion on whether or not they are good/worth it? I worry that if we get one with a shower, that we won't end up using it. We will be on the road for a year, so we will need to shower... but if the Scamp's shower isn't good enough... I think we'd find it more frustrating than anything else. So my questions are: how long of a shower can a person take? I'm not looking to take a long shower, but want to know I can get clean. Is there enough water on board to get two people clean -- and if so, how many times in a week? I'd love to hear about your experience with this.

Should I get the shower floorplan?
We've had our Scamp 13 with shower/toilet for just 6 months now...we were on the road with it for about 2 of those months.
I'm afraid I can't comment on the shower per se as we haven't used it as yet -- always stayed at campgrounds with shower facilities so far. I *have*, however, made frequent use of the toilet for middle-of-the-night pees -- as an older male I have a hard time making it through the night without it (and while if I was boondocking for real I wouldn't hesitate to just step outside, in a campground this isn't polite.)
Frankly, my wife and I use the shower space more as an extension of the closet...attaching suction hooks to the walls and hanging in-use clothing items.
If you are boondocking (or otherwise reliant only on the onboard water tank), you have about 12 gallons to work with. My experience with camp showers would suggest this is good for maybe 3-4 showers, using the water sparingly. If you are at a campground with a water hookup, your limitation will be the 24 gal gray water tank (when it fills, you have to dump it.)
I do recommend the bathroom layout; we've been very happy with ours.

We had a 16 ft. Scamp and loved our shower. Its a must for us, as we traveled a lot and just loved it.
