Does the Scamp 19 5th wheel require a stabilizer support like one of these? With two of us in the bed over the gooseneck we're wondering if we should have extra support.

Scamp fifth wheel stabilizer support for gooseneck?
I have a 2007 Scamp 5er deluxe. After 7 years of using it without a front stabilizer, I finally decided I needed one. The creaks, groans and noises coming from the landing gear as I climbed into the loft, or twisted and turned at night, prompted me to do something about it. Camping World has one called Fast Jack Stabilizer kit. (right now it's on sale for $70). It works well but needs a modification to work with the Scamp 2" ball arrangement. A friend cut the shank off a 2" ball, tapped the underside of the ball to receive a screw, and it fits right on the top of the Fast Jack. I used it for the first time in Bandon this year. As I said, it works well and helps with "peace of mind". This project is not meant to be load bearing. It just stabilizes the front end.
Earl A. - thanks for the stabilizer information - pictures very helpful.
