I am just curious as to whether the gray water tank is the reason that the floor steps up just under the rear dinette. The fresh water is in the bench seat, I think so I just had to ask. Could not figure out why the dinette would step up but that could be the reason? Thanks.
The rear floor (dance floor) is actually not raised up it is mounted on top of the frame rails as in most all trailers. Scamp and a few of the older smaller classic trailers drop the walkway floor between the frame rails to gain 3" of headroom in the center walkway. The lower floor extends to the front trailer wall making it a requirement to pump the shower greywater to the holding tank. The earlier side bath S-16s & 19s used a gravity feed to the shower greywater tank but there were issues so they switched to using the shower pump on the side bath models when they started using the larger tanks. The door entrance walkway takes out a part of the main frame rail and extra frame support is added under the lowered door entrance walkway.
We have a 2015 13ft Scamp and it has a 11 1/2 gallon grey water tank which is under the back of the trailer,the black water tank is directly under the stool in the bathroom
From the Scamp website:
"Grey water tanks are located under the rear dinette or sleeping area, and hold 26 gallons."
Scamp uses a filter and pump to get the shower grey water to the tank in the rear.

The floor actually steps up and over the axle. Then what better place to hang the gray water tank.

I have a 1985 Scamp Dlx. When I run the shower drain pump, there is always a little water still showing in the drain. Is that normal?
