We are looking for a battery operated propane leak detector and were wondering if anybody has any suggestions where we could find one have not had very good results on amazon ....

Propane Leak detector
When you say "Battery Operated", do you mean a 12 volt detector that is wired into the Scamp wiring, or are you looking for something that runs off of a 9 volt or AA battery?
If you are looking to replace the factory installed unit (if it had one) here is the one I installed last year:
MTI Industries 70742WT CO/LP Gas Alarm
Note: this unit is similar to many OEM Propane Leak detectors, it may not be an exact replacement, but it would probably work with slight modifications in the mounting.
By-the-way, this unit detects Carbon Monoxide as well as Propane.

Thanks I am seriously considering this one for our 98 scamp which at the present time does not have one ......
I am also in need of 9 volt or AA battery LP detector as well for my sons park model trailer .....
