Picked up new 16' Scamp and scampered away in snow and sleet

As noted eleswhere we picked up our new Scamp Friday Oct. 3.

Our first night with a pull through site in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan

One of the Scamping advantages is getting out and walk and see things.  Lake Superior was mildly angry with the cold and wind.

We took county roads for some fall color...

Continued

We stopped along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore to scope out Miner's Castle.

Being conservation biologists we always look for wildlife signs when walking.  Here my wife found a wolf track.  Having worked with jaguars and pumas in Central America she is a tracking expert so I did not doubt her.  Later in the day park service folks verified that we were well off the main "tourist" route on our 5 mile morning walk and wolves were in that area.

So far Esmé seems to like Scamping!

Although she was sneeking off of her quilt a bit.

She could not get away with that at home, but as they say... "All is fair in love and Scamping!"

Hmmm no lights?  Ahhh the plug is not yet connected from the Scamp to the car!

No high wind warnign today so we were able to crawl south accross the Mackinac Bridge that crosses the interesection of Lakes Michigan and Huron.

Perhaps more significantly from the U.P to the land of Trolls or lower penninsula of Michigan.  Yep Da yoopers think all who live below Da Bridge be trolls!

Last camp site was a back in...OK after parking perfectly the first time in an adjacent slot my wife suggested she misread the site ID number and I needed to move the rig over one slot.

Close enough for water and power, not yet close enough for the graywater drain hook up.  Need a longer hose!

Good enoough for me at the moment.

Hope most of the typos have been cleaned up...wink

Happy Scamping all.

Here to learn from others, what works and what doesn't

Nice looking Scamp, so pretty

Nice looking Scamp, so pretty and shining brightly.

Ah, the UP....that was one of my favorite parts of my trip back to the Great Lake States., just loved it.    Loved the P"aw"sties too, which I kept calling  P-A-sties.  I got snickers every nearly every time I said it.  But Hey, I've been told I have a Western accent, not that I notice though.  Sounds normal to me.

Enjoy that new trailer, I know you will.

Your new Scamp!

Congratulations on the new Scamp 16. We love ours! We have learnd to survey a sight prior to pulling in. This assures that both hoses reach the drain port. We purchased a Rino Flex new hose for our Scamp, now having 2 hoses for black and gray water needs.
