Now that we have grown to almost 600 SOI Memberships and over 1000 posts it was time to add a search box to the website. In the upper right corner you will find a new search box for the website. Several members have been asking the last few weeks for this to be added and there it is! Enjoy.

Adding a Search Box has enhanced the usefulness of this site exponentially. I ran a number of "trial" searches: it works great. THANKS!

I would like to suggest a search capability "within" the Membership directory, also.

Joy, currently you can sort the SOI Member Directory alphabetically (ascending or descending order) by User Name, First Name, City or State. So, for example, if you wanted to see all the members in California, you would sort by State and then go alphabetically to California and view all California members in a row. If you are looking for Greg, you can sort by first name and alphabetically go to Greg, etc.

I found that out when I was trying to search for an individual. I was trying to find out where someone was from (city)because I couldn't remember. It just seemed awkward to use.
I sorted by State then by name and found them. What if I don't know the state just the name. Then I've got to sort by name and there are a lot of Bill, Bob, John and Joe's in this world. I just like things to work simple. 1 Step is always better than 2 or 3.
I do appreciate the State sort, that's kind of nice.
Any way just my humble opinion.

Hi Joy,
I'll take a look at it. I'm not sure if it is programmatically possible within the software, but I'll look at it. Do you have an example of a member directory search that is like you are wanting? The other main trailer forum member directories I've looked at seem to be much more difficult to use than this one.
