Providing one is not order the air conditioner initially, what do they do for air condition prep? Would there be a big hole in the roof for future installment or is it just the wiring prep that is done? What other holes other than the 3 way fan would be on the roof?

New Scamps air condition prep?
Since about 2000, all Scamps came with rhe reinforced ceiling to accept a AC. It's a oak reinforced panel for the Scamp to,have the necessary support for a AC. No holes are made for it until one desires installation.

Are you sure about this? I was repairing a leak caused by the screws that hold the air distribution box to the ceiling going all the way through the fiberglass roof, I did not see any wood. This is what I found:

It might not be clear what you can see i the photos, but it is the A/C unit and seal on top, then the fiberglass, then the insulation and rat fur. I see no wood.
And Kent Eveland told me this about the camper's A/C support::
In fact, I suggested that they add some glassed in wood to the ceiling for the air dist box screws and he said he would discuss it with his crew.
I was just in Backus picking up my 13ft and asked about that. I originally was only going to get the prep, but called and added the AC. Glad I did, I have already used it. It was 88 degrees in Ohio today in late Sept. Prepped is all wired and ready, but no hole. Also the Fantastic fan will be moved to the back over the bed area. The other hole will be the bathroom vent if you got the bathroom option. I recommend getting the small sink. I have used it daily to wash rather than a full shower. The bathroom design has worked out better than I expected.

Heck, I was told oak, oh well, still reinforced for,an AC unit. We see the bulge in Scamps now since 2000.

what causes the bulge on the roof? I requested no prep, so will I still get a bulge? Also, where will they put my 3 way fan on the roof given I won't have A/C, nor it's prep?
Scamps are now molded this way, no way to avoid it. Even of no AC, wiring is in place to add it if later desired.
