Got our mattress......we got a front dinette so that we can leave the bed made all of the time.
The mattress is multi-layer densities of memory foam with gel infused top foam. Then covered with coated nylon top cover and vinyl bottom cover that is bacteria resistant, flame retardant, fluid resistant, anti-static, non-allergenic, stain resistant, and easy to clean....lol......at least that's what our sales brochures state about our mattresses.
Now we have under the rear table set up for storage.
Bill,
Think I have some ideas, but curious why you did two piece vs single piece?

Looks nice, ours came with a memory foam pad, we are satisfied. Now a new quilt, custom made for the size of bed in the Scamp new pillows to complement it as well. Pics will come soon as soon as the cover is off and the mods are done in April.

My Wife is a Quilter and is doing the same for us.
She bought a Bernina 880 Sterling Edition last year so she better put it to use with her embroidery hoops.
I asked her to do curtains w/embroidery and black out panel also ....I know she is going to have different motifes for each season.

I had our guys make a two piece ...so that in the instance that we are going camping and the weather looks as it may be lousy...we will then bring the cushions for the dinette. ...and during the day the mattress will be in the tow vehicle until needed.
Our tow vehicles are a 2012 Subaru Outback or a 2013 2 DR Jeep Wrangler. The 2 piece mattress is easier to take in and out of the camper..and easier to get into the back of the vehicles.
The company I work for has a facility in Atlanta that makes "therapeutic sleep surfaces" ...or as I know them ...mattresses. I had the guys make me one that is 6 inches thick ...has varying memory foam densities and ...has infused cooling gel. Then they covered it with the anti-microbial material we use.
I thought about costing it out and seeing if there is interest from the Scamp community.

Would love to have such in our Scamp. How must we go about it?

RE: "I thought about costing it out and seeing if there is interest from the Scamp community."
I am pretty sure the answer is ye - there is interest.
I understand that you might want to convert your bed back to a dinette occasionally so this would not apply to you but I am planning to keep mine as a bed permanently. In my 78 Scamp I bought a foam mattress about 6 inches thick, cut it to fit and shoved it in there (no easy task) but I did not leave the table in place. Instead I cut pieces of 1X12's the correct length to fit where the table would sit. I was afraid that constantly sitting in the middle of the bed, ie: the table, would eventually warp the table. Do you think that is a valid concern or am I over worrying? ( PS: I invented an ingenious little dinette area for the front bunk area for that camper since it had a permanent bed ;) )
