l Hello fellow Scampers. We hope you do as we did, and get your National Park Passport at the gift shops there. Every time you visit a national park or national site, you can get a nice stamp in your book! We have many now, Parks, Presidential Libraries, National Monuments. So, get your Passport and start getting your book stamped with all your fun travels.
We went to the Tallgrass Prairie (KS and worth a stop if in the area along with staying at the Corp of Engineer park just outside Council Grove) and they didn't have any so I ordered online. If you sign up with them online, you can get some deals on what they sell and sometimes free shipping. I did get the regular one and the children's one since my son although an adult, well, it suits him fine. He is ready to go! It isn't good for me to get in the gift shops as I always see something I want and in order to not feel guilty, I say "Everybody gets to pick something out to buy!" They just always have the best books about nature. We were in Fort Scott, KS and used to enjoy going to Fort there and all their special functions, and, again the gift shop.. It is important that we support our national parks since they do count how much something is being used and that helps justify their existence.

Yes, we buy the patch from the state,or a sticker. We might just start putting the state stickers on the back of,the Scamp! Yes, books, patches, always CANDY, and other items germain to the area. We always take our Passport with us, just to be on guard. It is getting quite full now!
