mosquitos in my scamp

Hi Y'all. Had a great time in the U.P. last weekend and it was our second Scamp trip. We did encounter some mosquitos and discovered that with some patience they can eventually find their way in. I believe it's by slipping through the gap between the screen and the window at the bottom or top of the window. Anyone ever have this problem? The trailer is in great shape for it's age as was lightly used and stored in doors.

RE: mosquitos (sic) in my scamp

In my Scamp there was is a little gap at the top of the Plisse Retractable Screen  but I think most of the bugs which are too large to get through the screens, yet still seem to find their way inside, get in when I go in and out of the door.  One way to cut down on that problem is to run the roof fan on intake at high at high speed.  That is to say,  have it set to blow air into the camper instead of out.  That will help to prevent mosquitoes from coming in when the door and / or screen door is opened for a short time. If you also close most or all of the windows and run the fan on high (intake) then the air flow out the door when it is opened will be pretty substantial.  You can hear the load on the fan change when the door is opened.

I wonder if you could just spray mosquito repellant on the screen.  Unless that screen is a mosquito screen they can come through.
