Has anyone modified the gooseneck hitch to a regular 5th wheel hitch? The gooseneck is really hard to hook up. A regular 5th wheel hitch is easier to slide in and catch. Lots of screaming doesn't start the trip off right! You know what I mean??????

Hitch for 19 ft scamp
Place one magnetic stick on the front edge of your coupler. Put the other magnetic stick directly on top of the hitch ball. Use your rear view mirror to sight the stick/balls and back under the trailer. When you knock the stick off your ball the coupler is directly over the ball. Another tip, measure from the coupler to the ground when you pull out from under the hitch. Record the measurement (chalk on trailer tongue) then level your trailer with your landing gear. When you get ready to hook up adjust the landing gear to the recorded measurement before starting to hook up. You can do it by yourself.

My husband usedyour recommendation and it was better. Thanks!
I too paid $20. for this item only to find it about a month later for about $10 at Harbor Freight Tools. I don't have to call for my wife anymore to hook up any of our trailers. A very good investment in my book.
