I have a 2014 13'
I’ve been having trouble with the double light over the galley. A couple of months after I got her, the light started having trouble. First it wouldn’t come on right away; would wait a while, then come on. Gradually that “while” got longer and longer, so that now it doesn’t come on at all.

I swapped out the bulbs into other sockets; they are all fine. I traced the power up to the wire-nut junction at the left end of the cabinets. Everything beyond that junction works (bed light, fan, outside light). But I can't check the wire from that junction to the fixture: it is embedded in fiberglass and the fixture itself is pop-riveted to the cabinet.

In the fixture, the socket itself fits into a tongue-and-slot deal. I pulled that out, but the wires are firmly attached/stuck into the socket. While I was wiggling them (to either get the wire out, or at least expose some bare wire that I could put a probe on), lo and behold the light came on (!) for ever so short a time.

Obviously, there is power getting there, but the wires are not touching.

Should I continue to wiggle the wire? or is there an easy way to detach the wires?
