Fridge smell

Question- when I run my fridge on electric or 12v (have not tried gas yet) there is a slight odor that almost smells like burning brakes coming from the outdoor access to the fridge. This is my first trip and first time it's ever been run. Is that normal?

Smell from New Fridge

It seems like the smells you are getting are normal for a brand new fridge. Your fridge works off of heat and the heat chamber/cylinder is made out of sheet steel which usually has some oils  left on it from the manufacturing process. The smell is from these oils being burnt off and they should only last for a few minutes. You might get some more smells when you use the Propane, but, most of the oils should be burned off by the time you try the Propane.

As Always,

Happy Scamping !!!
