Heres an idea for swinging door

I hope that what your going to do helps and takes care of your door flying open going down the road. We had a bad problem with that on a new one last year we went and picked up at the factory. They did send two new latches, the first one did no good, then the second one kept it closed. But by then I was paranoid about it coming open so we took a bungee cord from the door handle and put in on the bathroom door in the front just so if it did come open,we would not tear something off. We never had no more problems, but since ordering the Casita(which has the same kind of door}I still bungee cord it just to make sure.We were lucky the 6 times ours flew open bringing the Scamp home 1700 miles that we were never next to or passing anyone when it did that.I hope yours gets taken care of

door latch

You might reinstall the handle with it pointing down.  The latch on our 19" took a little tinkering.  I ended up twisting the latch stem to keep the latch more extended when the lock was in locked position.

Door

On our 81 13, once I reinstalled new hinges, door seal, pulled all the handle and strike plate then reseated/adjusted/aligned everything with shims on the handle/strike plate reinstall the door was very tight and never had any problems with it coming open.

The plastic shim was given to

The plastic shim was given to me by my technician doing all the work. He had one on the shelf. It fits right under the latch, exactly. It was made of hard plastic, and the shim fits right under the latch on to door. Call Scamp for such a shim.
